Background:
Approval of this item will authorize staff to reject all bids received in response to the Request for Proposal (RFP) 22-002
The City issued the RFP for stop loss with a deadline of July 28, 2022. During the evaluation of stop loss bids, the City opted to exercise a renewal option with Blue Cross Blue Shield.
The BCBS renewal option provides an unlimited aggregate maximum as opposed to a $2,000,000 maximum proposed by bids in the RFP. Total combined annual premium for BCBS is $1,438,435 as opposed to the others $1,543,294 and $1,564,788.
