Title
Consider and take action on a resolution approving the purchase of four (4) 10-ton VRV HVAC units for Hometown Heroes Park from Daikin Applied Americas, Inc. in the amount of $165,000 (Executive Director of Facilities & Information Technology)

Background:
If approved, this item will allow the purchase to replace the four Daikin (4) 10-ton VRV HVAC units that supply air conditioning for the entire building except the gyms. The four ten-ton HVAC units currently serving Hometown Heroes have reached the end of their operational lifespan. These units are critical for maintaining comfortable indoor environments and ensuring operational efficiency. Continued usage of these outdated units poses risks of frequent breakdowns, inefficiencies, and potential safety hazards. Therefore, replacing them with modern, energy-efficient systems is imperative to ensure optimal functionality and occupant comfort.

The existing equipment was installed in 2011 when Hometown Heroes was built. This equipment is nearing its end of support from the manufacturer. These new units will be installed outside on a new slab and with better spacing that will provide better airflow/effectiveness and maximize the life of the units.
· Procure and install four ten-ton HVAC units equipped with the latest energy-efficient technology.
· Staff has assessed with Daikin to confirm that these new units will work with all equipment inside the building.
· Staff has been working with the local manufacturer representative to verify and coordinate the installation and replacement process.
· Staff will work with the local representative to implement a maintenance schedule for these new units to prolong their lifespan and optimize performance.

There are four total units, with two compressors in each one. This design allows for redundancy and protection from a failure. Currently, there are three compressors offline. Funding for this project is proposed from 4B and is dependent on their approval on April 15,...
