Summary
An application for a permit was received by the League City Police Department requesting the use of a major arterial roadway within the City of League City for the purpose of conducting a fun run entitled Gilmore's 5th Annual 1K Fun Run. The applicant has made a request for a variance for the use of W League City Parkway from the 3500 - 5000 block (westbound Lanes). The applicant requests the closure of the westbound lane for the purpose of conducting the fun run. The westbound lane closure will require traffic to be contra-flowed on the eastbound lanes which will be established through the use of barricades, cones, signage, and police officers (2). The applicant has made a request for the variance from the equipment cost associated with the street closure. The projected time of lane closure will be from 8:45am-10:00am.
