Title:

Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an interlocal agreement with TML Intergovernmental Risk Pool for Cyber Liability and Data Breach Response Coverage ("Cyber Coverage") for a premium not to exceed $1,875 (Director of Human Resources and Civil Service)

Background:

Approval of this item will allow the City of League City to enter into an interlocal agreement with TML Intergovernmental Risk Pool (TML-IRP) allowing TML-IRP to provide Cyber Liability and Data Breach Response Coverage ("Cyber Coverage") for a premium not to exceed $1,875.

Several years ago, TML-IRP began providing cyber coverage at minimal cost to organizations that were already served by their general liability or property coverage.  Cyber crimes have increased exponentially since the coverage began and TML-IRP has moved forward with creating a new Cyber Fund with updated Cyber Liability and Data Breach Response Coverage.

To continue coverage in this fund, each city is required to sign a separate, interlocal agreement to join the Cyber Fund.  Our current security features qualify the City of League City for the Core + plan which has an annual premium of $1,875 for 2024-2025.  The specific limitations of this plan are noted in the attached page.

CONTRACT ORIGINATION: Agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney’s Office.
