Title

Consider and take action on a resolution adopting the Lobit Park Master Plan, 2024 (Director of Parks and Cultural Services)

 

Background:

 

Approval of this resolution will adopt the Lobit Park Master Plan, 2024.

 

The vision of a Lobit Park Master Plan was identified in a professional services agreement with Halff Associates per city council on March 26, 2024.   The master plan reviewed the feasibility of incorporating additional amenities on the 27.54-acre site.

 

A presentation was made to the Parks Board and the 4B Board in a joint meeting along with a public hearing for community input on September 16, 2024.   A presentation was made to City Council in a work session on September 24, 2024.  The presentation included regional context, aerial survey, existing improvements, (2) survey results from the community, Phase 1 improvements, Phase 2 improvements, and the Master Plan.  Future improvements were identified with probable construction costs. Upon approval of the Lobit Park Master Plan, staff will bring forth a design proposal for Phase 2 improvements.

    

A copy of the Lobit Park Master Plan has been included along with a memo attachment addressing city council’s concerns from September 24, 2024.
