Background:
Approval of this item will authorize an amendment to the professional services agreement with ARKK Engineers for the Oaks of Clear Creek Detention Pond Improvements (DR2101B) in an amount not to exceed $117,190.
On May 11, 2021, the Council approved a professional services agreement with ARKK Engineers for planning and design of the Oaks of Clear Creek Detention Pond Improvements in an amount not to exceed $423,020. Between mid-2021 and now City and consultant have completed surveying, geotechnical, environmental, engineering studies for pond location and improvements inside the neighborhood, and developed construction plans for proposed improvements. The site for the detention pond was also negotiated and acquired during this period. During this period four (4) amendments totaling $19,650, as shown below, were administratively approved.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) who is providing major grant funds for the project has requested a full Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) analysis and report as well as a Benefit Cost Analysis (BCA) for the proposed drainage improvements in the Oaks of Clear Creek subdivision. The cost for the additional scope of work is in the amount of $117,190.
