Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the award of a professional services agreement with HR Green, Inc. to perform the design, bid, and construction phase services related to the Clear Creek Ave. Asphalt Reconstruction - CDBG Project (RE2601) for an amount not to exceed $80,239.85.
The purpose of this project is to perform full-depth reconstruction of the roadway from E. Walker to E. Galveston St. Construction will be CDBG funded in an amount of $258,349 with supplemental funding from the City’s Reinvestment Program. Funding for design will 40% CDBG Funds and 60% Reinvestment. This segment of Clear Creek Ave. reconstruction has moved up from package 10 due to eligibility and availability of CDBG funding.
This proposed segment of Clear Creek Ave. from E. Walker to E. Galveston is approximately 1,100’ long. Preliminary construction cost for this project is $362,052.
HR Green, Inc. has submitted a proposal to perform the design, bid and construction phase services for this roadway for an amount not to exceed $80,239.85, which includes the following:
1. Design Phase $ 40,290.00
2. Bid-Phase Services $ 5,860.00
3. Construction Phase Services $ 13,330.00
4. Topo Surveying & Mapping $ 6,894.25
5. Geotech Study $ 12,865.60
6. Miscellaneous Expenses $ 1,000.00
Total $ 80,239.85
Design phase is proposed to be completed within 135 days followed by bid and construction phases.
