Title
Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing the sale of a property identified as P00091286 (Parcel 337) to TxDOT related to the construction of SH 99 Segment B1 in the amount of $12,768.00 (Executive Director of Capital Projects)

Background:
Approval of this resolution authorizes the sale of a property identified as P00091286 (Parcel 337) to TxDOT in the amount of $12,768.00 related to the construction of SH 99 Segment B1.

TxDOT is proposing to acquire 0.0733 acres (3,192 square feet) owned by the City of League City, GCAD Parcel # 760470 as Right-of-Way for the construction of SH 99 Segment B1. The 0.0733-acre tract is currently used for the City’s Bay Colony Parkside subdivision sanitary sewer lift station. Location of this proposed acquisition is located at the northwest line of FM 646, south of Brookport Drive. TxDOT design schematic indicated an elevated roadway with columns for this area. This lift station must be relocated along with the associated gravity and force main lines to accommodate this acquisition.

In addition, TxDOT acknowledges the existence of the City’s infrastructure. As an abundance of caution, the City and TxDOT entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). In addition to this MOA, TxDOT provided a Notice of Required Accommodation (NORA) letter to the City so the design of relocation of lift station and sanitary sewer lines can begin. A Standard Utility Agreement will also be signed by City and TxDOT to reimburse the City for all the eligible costs associated with this relocation. An Occupancy Agreement will also be signed to allow the City to continue the use of facility until new lift station and associated sanitary sewer lines are in operation.

TxDOT has submitted an offer to the City of $12,768.00. The City staff recommends acceptance of this offer.
