Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing two (2) one-year agreements with Stryker for the annual maintenance and repair of LifePacks & AEDs in an amount not to exceed $39,000 and for the annual maintenance and repair of power load stretchers and stair chairs in an amount not to exceed $24,600 (Fire Chief)
Background:
Approval of this item will authorize the Fire Department - EMS Division to enter into two (2) separate one-year agreements with Stryker for the annual maintenance and repair of EMS field equipment for fiscal year 2026. This maintenance program was reviewed and approved as part of the FY26 budget and represents a recurring expenditure necessary to ensure the continued reliability, safety, and operational readiness of critical EMS equipment.
Maintenance and repair of the LifePack and AED will not exceed $39,000 and maintenance and repair of the Power Load Stretchers and Stair Chairs will not exceed $24,000. This service ensures that all covered equipment remains compliant with manufacturer standards and regulatory requirements, supporting uninterrupted EMS operations and safeguarding both patient care and personnel safety.
Stryker is a sole-source vendor for the purchase and the maintenance of this equipment.
