Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an agreement with Liqui-Pro Industries for the replacement of the Civic Center mansard roof for a base contract amount of $87,330, with the total compensation under the agreement not to exceed $100,000 (Executive Director of Information Technology, Facilities and Ballpark)
Background:
Approval of this item will authorize the replacement of the mansard roof system. Staff solicited and received three proposals for the replacement of the metal mansard system at the Civic Center. The work is intended to address aging exterior components and improve long-term weather resistance and facility appearance. The three quotes received were:
Liqui-Pro Industries: $ 87,329.26
FSR Services: $100,460.00
Strategic Roofing Solutions: $106,277.00 plus applicable taxes
Liqui-Pro submitted the lowest proposal at $87,329.26 and provided a detailed scope of work that includes removal of existing mansards, installation of a 45-mil self-adhered underlayment, and installation of a concealed fastener batten seam panel system matching the existing building profile. The proposal includes all related metal system components from the coping cap to the tilt-wall panels.
Additional strengths include:
· Use of a TIPS cooperative purchasing contract (#23010401), streamlining procurement compliance.
· 20-year manufacturer product warranty.
· 2-year workmanship warranty.
· Detailed unit pricing for unforeseen deck or nailer replacement conditions (not to exceed $10,000.00)
· Commitment to work around scheduled Civic Center events and protect landscaping during construction.
Based on pricing, completeness of scope, warranty coverage, and procurement advantages through the TIPS cooperative purchasing program, staff recommend awarding the Civic Center Mansard Replacement project to Liqui-Pro Industries, Inc. in the amount of $87,329.26.
