Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing purchases with Sysco USA I, Inc., Del Papa Distribution, Faust Distribution and Pepsico Beverage Company for The Ballpark at League City through the end of the current fiscal year (Executive Director of Facilities and Information Technology/Director of Finance)
Background:
Approval of this item will ratify the purchases made and authorize the City to enter into several agreements to ensure the continued operations of The Ballpark at League City until September 30, 2024. The City will move forward with RFPs for those services that are not sole source in a systematic thorough manner.
The City of League City took over operations of The Ballpark at League City on February 19, 2024; to maintain operations, the city procured several goods needed to continue operations of the Ballpark’s restaurants, including food, beverages, and alcoholic beverages. The City is now asking those procurements to be ratified. Per the City's Purchasing Policy, expenditures that exceed $50,000 must be approved by the City Council.
The following amounts include the purchases already completed to date and anticipated costs through September 30, 2024.
Sysco USA I, Inc. - Sourcewell Cooperative Agreement 040522-SYC $280,000
Del Papa Distribution - Sole Source Vendor for Anheuser-Busch $100,000
Faust Distribution - Sole Source Vendor for Coors and Miller $100,000
Pepsico Beverage Company - Sole Source Vendor $ 50,000
Moving forward staff will continue to assess revenues and expenditures and anticipate a future budget amendment to address the remainder of FY2024. Staff anticipates the budget request will be offset by The Ballpark operating revenues.
